listening to

seniors citizens

By 2015 ¼ of Montana’s population will be above 65 years of age and we forecast a 35% increase in dementia diagnoses.

Mary listens when you tell her you want to age in your home near your family and friends attending your church and community activities. She continues to find more funding for home and community-based services, respite for family caregivers, and increased wages for in-home care providers.

Mary secured funding for home and community based services enabling senior citizens to age with dignity in their own homes. These efforts also provided support through respite for their caregivers.

Mary is dedicated to making sure that everyone is taken care of as they age. Mary stood up to lawmakers and lobbyists and was a passionate sponsor of the tobacco tax bill to get funding for aging services and health care.

Mary knows you want to age with dignity and respect no matter where you live. That is why she sponsored a bill to keep access to the Elderly Homeowner’s Tax Credit for all seniors.

Mary honors those who serve in the military. She has sponsored bills to recognize veterans of past wars and sponsored bills for improvements in veterans’ health care
